| Introduction
Our Aircraft Performance team has
been working on many different aircraft projects as performance engineers,
certification experts and software development engineers.
We
have experience from both turbojet as well as turboprop aircraft programs.
Whether you need flight-physical calculation models according to
the appropriate requirements (FAR/CS) or Take off, En route and Landing
optimisation programs or tools for Flight Manual Production
(AFM, FCOM) or even a Computerised Airplane Flight Manual (CAFM)
we can develop the solution you need.
We provide
Certification Support,
Methodology Development as well as
Training Courses.
Certification Support
We can support certification efforts within the following areas:
Aircraft Performance certification according to CS/FAR 25 (23/235)
Subpart B
- Engine thrust/power requirements for aircraft performance
- Take off and landing field performance
- Single engine climb performance; take off, en route and landing
- Reference speeds
- Flight test data analysis
- Reduced Take off Thrust/Power
Subpart G
- Performance data synthesis and expansion
- Performance presentation in aircraft manuals (AFM, FCOM)
- Computerised Aircraft Flight Manual
Methodology
We have experience with developing tools and processes that support the
development work and certification of commercial aircraft:

1st principles methodologies (calculations based on physical equations,
e.g. force equilibrium and data for drag and thrust) in the various stages
of aircraft development
- Force equations for quasi-stationary equilibrium
- Integration methods
- Aerodynamic models
- Engine modelling
- Aircraft systems, including braking system, ground spoilers, thrust reversers etc.
- Aircraft geometry and center of gravity
2nd principles methodologies (calculations based on pre-calculated
performance data, typically by interpolation in data tables).
- Interpolation methods
- Performance databases, optimized for storage size and fast access
S/W systems for production of performance manuals
- Automating of production
- Quality assurance
- Data and S/W revision control
Training Courses
We can provide Aircraft Performance courses including:
- CS/FAR 25 certification requirements
- Calculation of aircraft performance for all flight phases; take-off, landing, en-route, all engines operating and one engine failed
- Performance Manuals (AFM, AOM, FCOM); content, how to produce and how to use
- Performance calculation S/W, 1st and 2nd principles, for internal and customer use
We tailor these courses to your specific requirements.
